# Sign up, invitations, and email verification

> Accept an invite or register a VH3 Connect account and verify your email.

# Sign up, invitations, and email verification

Most operators join via invite. Creating a company is for first-time company setup.

## Path A — Invited user (usual path)

1. Open the invite link from your email (Connect routes `/invite/accept` into join).
2. On **Join** *company name*, complete the form. The invite shows the **product role** you were invited as (Admin, Manager, Engineer, and so on) — not an operational Team membership.
3. Verify your email if prompted (**Verify your email** at `/signup/verify`).
4. Sign in and land in the app for that company.

You do not need BigChange credentials on this path unless your company still requires setup and you have rights to finish it.

## Path B — Register and create a company

1. Open registration (**Create your account** at `/signup/register`).
2. Enter first name, last name, email, password, and any other required fields.
3. Complete email verification (**Verify your email** → **Email verified**).
4. Create the company under **Company details**, including **Your company role**.
5. If approval is required, wait on **Pending approval** (`/signup/company/pending`).
6. Complete [BigChange setup](/connect/company-setup) when the app requires it.

Do not create a second company if you already have an invite — use Path A.
